Dear Camp Families,

In many ways, August 8th seems like just yesterday, rather than 11 weeks ago, when we said our see you laters to campers and staff.  Over the last two and a half months since the camp season ended, we have come to appreciate even more what we ALL accomplished together — giving campers a much-needed sense of normalcy in the midst of a global pandemic.  It's impossible for us not to smile when we think back to those 4 weeks under the pines and being able to watch campers and staff enjoy and benefit from the North Star experience.  We were very proud to have been part of a select group of camps that were able to open and keep everyone COVID free.  Read more about that in this Washington Post article.  

Plans are well underway for next summer.  Typically this time of year we would be traveling to meet new families interested in North Star and visiting with our existing camp families.  Unfortunately, the pandemic doesn't currently allow us to do that in a safe way.  Hopefully, it won't be long until we are able to schedule visits and events with all of you.  Later this fall, there will be online gatherings so at least campers and staff can connect virtually.  Be on the lookout for an email with details.  

Because of the ongoing pandemic, prospective camp families are relying, more than ever, on their own internet research to decide on a camp.  Perhaps without realizing it, many of you have helped in that process by posting a review on Google.  Some interested families rely on those reviews in their decision-making process.  If you have the time to leave your feedback on Google, click here, and we thank you in advance.  

The 2021 early enrollment program had the highest number of registrations ever.  We are glad that so many families took advantage of the savings, and recognize and appreciate the trust and confidence that you place in us and our staff.  Several cabins are already full for certain sessions, so if you've already enrolled, your child's spot is reserved for another memorable summer under the pines that starts in 8 months from today!

Last summer's production of the musical Frozen, was one of the many highlights of the camp season.  The social distancing guidelines didn't stop our staff and campers from putting on an amazing performance.  To watch the full show, click here.

Jake Hoffman is returning for his 3rd summer on staff to produce and direct the musicals.  Jake is already working on both musicals for 2021.  In December, he will share the news that lets you know the shows for next summer.
