Dear Camp Families,

We hope everyone is starting to get into the holiday spirit. It has already snowed up at camp which makes our beautiful property look like a winter wonderland. Brenden and our facility staff have been busy closing up all the buildings and starting some construction projects for next summer.

Some of you have asked us about getting an early start on your required camper forms. They will all be available in January. However, if you have a doctor's appointment coming up and want a health form for next summer, email us and we will be happy to send it to you. It's never too early to starting completing your camper forms.

Both of us are continuing to travel meeting new and returning camp families. It was great seeing some of our campers in New York a few weeks ago. In early December we will be spending time in Connecticut and Massachusetts, and will let you know if we will be in your area. Don't forget that if you have friends and family interested in learning about North Star, send us their contact information, or have them reach out to either one of us directly. And, they don't have to live close by either. Last summer we had campers from 19 states in the U.S. and 14 foreign countries.

For those families celebrating Thanksgiving next week, we wish you a happy and festive holiday. As always, don't hesitate to reach out to either one of us for any reason by phone or email at your convenience.

Camp Transportation

It's not too early to start thinking about how your child is traveling to and from camp. If your child is flying into Boston Logan Airport, check with our office first before you book your flights. Arrival days in Boston are on the following Saturdays only - June 27, July 11 and July 25. Departure days for flights out of Boston are the same as the last day of each session - July 11, July 25 and August 15.

If you are flying into Portland Jetport contact the office as well to confirm your flights before booking. Flights into and out of Portland should be booked on the actual arrival and departure date for each session.

We also offer charter bus transportation service in Secaucus, NJ; Manhattan; Darien, CT; and Lexington, MA. Reservation forms for bus service will be available in your CampMinder account in January.

Parents do have the option of dropping off and picking up at camp. The drop off window is between 1 - 2 PM on arrival days (June 28, July 12 and July 26). The pickup times are between 9 - 10 AM on departure days (July 11, July 25 and August 15).

International Camp T-Shirt Day

Staff Spotlight

We continue our monthly feature of sharing exciting news about some of our staff.

Jake Hoffman (Arts Staff) - recently starred in an off-Broadway production in Manhattan that was a musical parody of Stephen King's It. Jake is returning in 2020 to produce and direct our musicals again. In December, we will let you know the musicals for next summer.

Greg Boyer (Athletic Staff) - played his final college football game last weekend for Kenyon College where he played on the defense as a linebacker. Congrats to Greg on a successful career as a student-athlete for Kenyon.

Chris Craven (Tennis Pro) - moved from Texas to New York City after the summer. He's working at The Club of Riverdale, an indoor tennis facility just outside of Manhattan. If you live in the area, stop by and say hi. Chris will be back next summer and is already looking forward to being back on the courts and offering private tennis lessons.
